Design Services - Overview

Think With Ink offers design services to those customers needing print related art work created. We help to take the guess work out of graphic design. You can give us a very detailed word or power point document with pictures and text already laid out or a cocktail napkin with last nights bright ideas written all over it. It doesn’t matter how you get us your content we can help you in almost every situation. Just keep in mind the more content and direction you give us for your project the less time and money it will take to design it.

Design for print can be a cumbersome undertaking if not done properly. Often times you can reduce amount of design time by half with a little bit of preparation. Please make sure all of your text has been prescreened, spell-checked and checked again for errors before you even give it to our designers. Please try your best to avoid giving us images you took from the web. Internet images, logos and etc. are almost always a quarter of the quality needed for commercial printing. Please make sure all of your supplied images are at least 300 dpi resolution. Also try to give a set of detailed instructions on how you would like your piece laid out, organized or set-up... If you don’t have any idea how you want it laid out please still at least give some input as to what color schemes, background images or graphic styles you typically like. It is often helpful to find a brochure or ad in a magazine that you like that and your competition has done previously.

If you are going to do the design yourself please at all costs avoid designing in any type of Microsoft program, as it will have to be recreated anyways. Adobe software programs like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign are best suited for creating commercially printable art files.
